The Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery celebrates its first birthday tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 2. As part of a photo slide show of the building at work, visitors (above) step into the room-sized Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) and experience a computer-generated galaxy.

Langston awarded visiting professorship by King of Sweden

Nancy Langston, a professor in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology and the Nelson Institute, has been named the King Carl XVI Gustaf Professor of Environmental Sciences for the 2012-13 academic year in Sweden.

In Memoriam

Celebration of Billups’ life scheduled for Dec. 11

A memorial for LaMarr Billups, former senior special assistant to the chancellor and a long-time Madison community leader, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11 in St. Joseph Chapel at Edgewood College. And, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
