Caught on tape: Researchers track, help protect elusive bear in Ecuador

While one of South America's most elusive animals makes its way through dense and rugged mountain forests, Nelson Institute researchers snap away, capturing images of the Andean bear. Or, at least, their hidden cameras do, set to automatically take pictures when motion sensors pick up activity.

Karp Family concert

7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5, in Mills Concert Hall at the Mosse Humanities Building. The traditional opening of the School of Music's concert season features three generations of the Karp family and colleagues from the school's faculty. The event is free and unticketed.
